Greenbarns Shepherd Huts provides high quality, self-catering holiday accommodation in authentic, hand-built shepherd huts.  We operate two huts – 'Jill Hoot' (Norfolk slang for barn owl) and 'Hedge Betty' (slang for hedge sparrow).  Each hut sleeps up to two adults and a baby or small child (we recommend up to about six years old).  A cot or folding bed is supplied free of charge as required. This hut also benefits from a wood fired hot tub.

Bigger families can book both huts at the same time – meaning we can potentially accommodate a party of up to four adults and two small children.  Both offer access to the day-room and kitchen, as well as to their own separate washroom, WC and shower.  This hut benefits from an electric hot tub, with jets and mood lighting.

Exclusive use - Hire both of our beautifully crafted shepherds huts, set on a completely secluded and private paddock with unspoilt countryside. Ideal for couples, friends or families seeking privacy and comfort, the paddock becomes your own personal retreat. Discounts available when both huts are booked.

Prices from £160 per hut, per night - with a minimum of 2 night stays. Discounts available for longer bookings and when booked for both huts and exclusive use. One night stays are available, please contact us for pricing

The important stuffOur booking requirements in brief...

  • You must be at least 18 years of age to book our huts.
  • Our charges are per hut, not per person.  However, we only allow up to two adults and one small child (we recommend up to six years old) to occupy each hut.
  • A responsible adult must accompany children and/or dogs in huts at all times.
  • We ask guests please to treat our accommodation with the same respect as they would their own homes.
  • If you make a reservation more than two weeks before the start of your holiday, then we only require a booking deposit of £50.  The balance will become due 14 days before the start date.
  • Reservations made less than two weeks before your arrival must be paid for in full at the time of booking.
  • If you only pay a booking deposit then we will contact you two weeks before the start of your holiday for the balance due.
  • If the balance due remains unpaid by the first booking date then your booking will be cancelled but you will remain liable for the full cost of the rental.

Check-in/check-out

  • Huts are available for occupation from 4.00pm on the first day of your holiday reservation (earlier check-in may availble upon request, please contact us and we will do our best to accomodate)
  • Huts must be vacated by 10.00am promptly on the day following the last night of the reservation please.

Dogs

  • Up to two well-behaved dogs are allowed in both huts.
  • Pets are free of charge.
