We operate two luxury shepherd huts in Norfolk, England, for self-catering holiday rental/glamping.

Our location is private and secluded – with picturesque views across the rolling fields of mid-Norfolk.  Many of our guests appreciate getting closer to nature... there are often deer in the huts field, and we have a pair of green woodpeckers nesting nearby.  Buzzards, pheasants and rabbits abound.  Stay with us at Greenbarns Shepherd Huts and you can fall asleep under silent skies punctuated by more stars than you can dream of... and wake gently to morning birdsong.

You'll relax, unwind and find peace of mind.

Our story

The Dagless family arrived in the village of Foulsham over 40 years ago to farm 120 acres of arable land and a few pigs.  In 2017 Tony Dagless decided to diversify, and the shepherd huts business was born.  Tony designed and started building the huts himself on site.  Then in September 2018 he sadly died, and his son Mally took over.

Mally completed his father's 'Happy Place' vision the following year, and the shepherd huts business now thrives under his management, with support from daughters Evie and Heidi.  It's a legacy for Tony's granddaughters, Evie and Heidi, to take over and continue in the years ahead – keeping the family farm alive.

Grandad always wanted to share this beautiful part of his world with others.  His dream was to give people the opportunity to experience what he enjoyed so much and devoted his life to.  I'm so proud of my grandfather's achievements.

Evie Dagless

Our shepherd huts are cosy, warm and very relaxing.  I loved every minute on the farm with my grandfather growing up.  So please come and enjoy yourselves in a Greenbarns shepherd hut.  We are doing this for you, Grandad.
